About Gaussian Department of Mathematics
Hello fellow student of mathematics, the Gaussian Department of Mathematics (GMath), named after the German mathematician of profound genius, Carl Friedrich Gauss, was formed in 2005 by me. Initially, the department was simply a group of guys who were keen on mathematics. We would meet up regularly on a Saturday afternoon and discuss interesting mathematical problems such as the ones found in American Mathematics Competitions, various country Olympiads and Mathematics S-Paper of the local GCE 'A' Level exam.

GMath - A place to sit back, relax, and learn mathematics!
It was also at this time when I was concurrently working on his mecha development project, one where I desired to combine Gundam with actual robotics. Some of the problems on my mecha project required an area of problem solving, one which involves mathematics topics such as mechanics and calculus. Thus, it naturally made sense that I wrote out the problems and passed it to my mathematics group to discuss and subsequently solve. Such problems provided further enrichment which the group thoroughly enjoyed and though not clearly stated, our agenda for each meeting was to solve the exam problems as well as those related to the mecha project.
Attendance and membership to this group saturated in 2006 but it didn't wavered the pursuit of mathematics problem solving. In the month of April, this group was formally titled Gaussian Department of Mathematics. Not to confuse the group with any Mathematics Department in either high school or college, the name was given to simply add character to the group.
As time progress, I wanted to make mathematics a fun and enjoyable subject to learn. Contrary to some students, I believe that this beautiful subject shouldn't be regarded as boring and instead should be appreciated on the basis of how much of it can be intricately found in everyday things and situations. Now, I have spent time to create an online source of video lectures where students can come and learn mathematics concepts and questions being taught by me.
